Kanye West and Jay Z both shared Disilgold.com 2011 Best Male Artist of the Year Award category for an outstanding year in music from sold out arenas to impressive chart topping singles ,not the norm, but a favorite of music listeners like the soul eclectic “OTIS,” to “N*ggas in Paris,” both chart topping hits worldwide among many.
Jay Z popularity amassed from an impressive solo tour the beginning of year infusing jazz, a Hip Hop story line per song and home grown fashions from the RocaWear line to the controversial, “Occupy All Streets” Hip Hop shirts. His wife, Beyonce’ announced a baby on the way catapulting the Jay z empire and his song collaboration, Empire State of Mind, which stil resounds as a bonafide New York anthem.
Kanye West debuted his fashion apparel line, vowed to leave the U.S. so the fashion industry would take his clothing line seriously and even changed his name to YeezyWorldPeace as his alter ego DJ name in New York for possibly a day or forever, but managed to stay low key this year and well behaved enough to win back supporters and gain new ones.
With all said, both are back in the studio with more to come and have earned their mainstay as the greatest rappers of all time for consistency, controversy, over all lyrical abilities that are undeniable the best at appealing to all audiences and branding Hip Hop as a culture worldwide to be respected. Listeners will agree new music by Jay Z and Kanye sounds as fresh as yesterday along with new outstanding talent on the way earning the two mogul’s stamp of approval.
Casting egos aside, both have achieved the American Dream against all odds, pop shots from media and setbacks.
